                  AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING AN ALLEY
                  LOCATED NORTHWEST FROM GREENWOOD AVENUE,
                  BETWEEN PRESTON STREET AND ALICE STREET, MORE
                  PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.
                 
                 
                                                    
                 
                 
       	    	 SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
       CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
       and abandoned an alley located northwest from Greenwood Avenue,
       between Preston Street and Alice Street, more particularly
       described herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made a 

       part hereof by reference:
            Part of a 10 foot wide unopened alleyway, said part
            beginning on the northwest line of Greenwood Avenue 100
            feet southwest of the intersection of the northwest line
            of Greenwood Avenue with the southwest line of Preston
            Street, and extending northwest 100 feet to the
            northwest line of parcel 5, Corrective Plat, Re-Sub of
            Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 into 2 Lots of Preston Prigmores
            Addition-Block 2, as shown by plat of record in plat
            book 30, page 218, ROHC.  Said part of alley separates
            lots 1 and 2, and part of lot 3, block 2, from lots 19
            and 20, and part of lot 18, block 2, Preston and
            Prigmore's Addition, as shown by plat of record in plat
            book 6, page 8, ROHC.
           
            Tax Map No. 146B-J-26, 27, and 29.

       	    	 SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance
       shall be effective two (2) weeks from and after its passage as
       provided by law.
